Scott Atnip

Scott Atnip has served as the Executive Director of Huntsville’s Promise since August, 2003. Prior to his current tenure with the organization, Scott was one of the original framers for Huntsville’s Promise in 2000-2001 by conducting background research for the organization as an intern with the City of Huntsville.

Between stints with Huntsville’s Promise, Scott received his Masters Degree in Public Policy from the Lyndon Baines Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. While at the LBJ School, Scott served as the Outreach Coordinator for Texas Impact, a statewide non-profit organization representing communities of faith across Texas and helping them become educated and active in legislative advocacy.

Scott is a proud graduate of Sam Houston State University. He is currently living in Huntsville with his lovely wife Shannon and their active dog Willie-Butch. Scott is active in his church as well as serving on several youth related community Boards and causes.
